After a worrying torrential downpour on the Saturday as the organisers finalised the course they feared the worst. But glorious summer weather on the Sunday provided Xmoor Enduro Club racers with what must have been close to the ultimate three hour Hare & Hounds / Sprint Enduro track at Rifton Barton in Mid Devon on August 21st.

Rnd 5 of the Metzeler ACU British Enduro Championship

Clerks of the Course Aled Lloyd-Jones, Gwylim Davies and Wyn Thomas are again working hard on the route to make it interesting and technical without been to difficult with a lap of approx 25 mile in this beautifully and mainly rocky area. The special test will again be three in one with a XC section and an Extreme section (with chicken runs for those that do not fancy the shorter and potentially quicker extreme section) and a MX section which speaks for itself.

Entries:- Open on the 21st May 2011 and must be sent to the Secretary before the closing date of 15th August 2010 or when entries are full.

This year sees the 10th running of one of the UK’s hardest and longest Enduro events.. Consisting of 5 separate races, Dawn to Dusk begins with a standalone 2 Hour Youth Event on the Saturday, then progresses as dusk falls to the gruelling 24, 12 and 6 hour solo and team enduro events. For the first time this year there is also a 10 hour “Big Bike” (over 575cc) enduro (for solo riders only).

Over 500 riders and up to 5,000 spectators, teams, family members and other supporters are expected to descend on the mountainside course of “Walters Arena” in the upper Neath Valley over the 2011 August Bank Holiday weekend.

An event for Solo and Sidecar motorcycles.

Race Date: 3rd July 2011

The event is a round of the 2011 British and ACU Sidecar Enduro`, The Cheshire Centre, The MWTRA Club and The Manchester 17 Club
Championships.

Please Note Public Roads are Used in This Event.

Start:- Will be at Sarn Farm Carno, Nr Newtown, Powys.
First competitor away:- 08.00hrs

Route:- Will be one lap of approx 150 miles including Public Roads and will be marked and is designed primarily for Sidecars, Clubmen & Sportsmen if solo experts/championship riders wish to compete they may do bearing this in mind. The onus is on the competitor to find the correct route. No part of the route (except the special stages) is closed for the event. You MUST give way to Horses, Pedestrians & Vehicles on the route. Although as many gates as possible will be opened by marshals there may be some which riders must open for themselves and close again, PLEASE ensure such gates are left CLOSED AND UNDAMAGED.

Scrutineering: On Saturday 2nd July 2011 12.00hrs to 19.00hrs.
