Michelin Off-Road Tyres

Michelin T61 - 18" and 21" Tyres - Road Legal

The T61 trail tyre is recommended for predominantly 'off-road' use, it achieves an optimum combination of handling and grip both on and off road. Ideal for those who enjoy trail riding. These tyres require an inner tube.

Michelin T63 - 17", 18" and 21" Tyres - Road Legal

The T63 trail tyre is recommended for riding mainly 'off-road', it achieves an optimum combination of stability and tyre life. Ideal for those who enjoy riding mainly off-road, but still with high levels of wet and dry road grip. These tyres require an inner tube.

Michelin Enduro Comp Tyres - Road Legal

The most successful road legal tyre in European Championships, with winning grip on all types of terrain and the potential to sustain multiple events. Used as a rear tyre, it can be matched with the Enduro Comp 4 front or the motocross range depending on the terrain. FIM and ACU approved.

Michelin Enduro Star Tyres - Road Legal

Specifically designed for hard to intermediate terrain, the Enduro Star now gives riders a choice of tyres in addition to the Enduro Comp III.

Michelin S12 Motocross Tyres

The S12 Motocross tyre is recommended for predominantly soft ground, the combination of high tread blocks for deeper mud penetration and wide spaced blocks to prevent clogging make this an ideal soft terrain tyre. Tube type.

Michelin M12 Motocross Tyres

The M12 Motocross tyre is an all round tyre offering maximum damage resistance on hard ground with superb grip and mud clearance on soft ground. Tube type.

Michelin H12 Motocross Tyres

The H12 Motocross tyre has been designed to cope with the most arduous off-road conditions, it offers maximum damage resistance and extra shock absorption. Benefits also include tighter cornering and greater traction . Tube type.

Michelin MS2 Starcross Motocross Tyres

The MS2 Motocross tyre has a reinforced tread block base, scoop shaped design, and the zig-zag alignment of shoulder blocks, together with increased block spacing and the 'M' block system gives this tyre maximum grip on light to medium ground. Tube type.

Michelin MH2 Starcross Motocross Tyres

The MH2 Motocross tyre is much the same as the MS2 with the addition of a grooved centre block for double efficiency, solid extended blocks and a reduced gap between the tread blocks which combine to give this tyre maximum surface contact. This tyre performs well in all but the extreme wet, but is at its best in medium to hard conditions. Tube type.

Michelin Trial Competition Tyres - Road Legal

For years the Michelin range of trial tyres has given riders all they need to beat the competition in world or local events. Trial competition tyres are available as the tubed type cross-ply version and are MST and E-marked.

These tyres have to be ridden to appreciate their outstanding performance. Also an ideal choice for those Enduros that specify trials tyres.

Michelin Bib-Mousse

Designed exclusively for off-road competition, the bib mousse foam rubber insert replaces the inner tube. Made up of a honeycomb structure, it prevents punctures caused by perforation, shocks or pinching.
Supplied with instructions and a tube of gel. Available in varoius sizes.

Romvelo Off-Road Tyres

Lets face it, not everyone that races can afford a top of the range Michelin for each event. In slick conditions, quite often a rider will be far better off with a new sharp edged inexpensive tyre, than an old worn out one with rounded off knobbles.

The DirtBikeStore.com are pleased to announce that they have secured Sole Importership and Distribution for Romvelo Off-road Tyres and believe that the following products represent great value for money.

The DirtBikeStore helped to develop the tyres and their extensive testing have shown them to have excellent grip and wear rates for the budget conscious user.

Romvelo M22 Inter/Hard Motocross

Romvelo M15 Soft Motocross

Romvelo M15 Front.
This tyre is said to have good extreme edge grip & mud clearing.

Romvelo Enduro Tyre - M23 - Road Legal

120/90-18 Road Legal (MST E-Marked) Best suited for intermediate to hard conditions.

Romvelo Enduro Tyre - M12 - Road Legal

140/80-18 Road Legal (MST E-Marked) Best suited to soft to intermediate conditions.

Romvelo Enduro Front Tyre 80/100-21" E15 - Not Road Legal.

The Romvelo Enduro front tyre is an affordable replacement for the brand names and excels in all conditions. Note despite the apparent E mark in th etyre name this is not road legal.

Other Tyres

Cougar/Kings Motocross Tyres

These tyres will either be Cougar or Kings, they have a good wear rate and are economically priced. - These tyres require an inner tube.

Trail/Trial Tyres

Road legal general purpose or dual sport tyres. There are many of these on the market, many at an economical price. This area of the market is enormous and quite frankly warrants a huge article just to themselves. We can not cover them here this time, but maybe we will look at them in detail at a later date if there is enough interest shown?

19" Speedway/Enduro Tyre

The 375-19 speed-way tyre is normally accepted for use in Enduros where trials tyres are specified as it has a similar pattern to a trials tyre. Dont let the width of the tyre put you off, they spread and can give excellent grip.

Tubes

The tube is one part of the bike which gets fitted, and then forgotten about until a tyre change or a puncture. Like any other part of your bike it should be regularly cleaned, maintained and checked for wear.

Heavy Duty Inner Tubes

For off-road use where punctures are likely from rock impact etc. These inner tubes are well worth using. Normally they are made from a quality heavy duty butyl rubber.

Romvelo Extra Heavy Duty Inner Tubes

Romvelo Heavy duty tubes have been developed specifically for motocross and enduro and are much thicker than most heavy duty tubes and in our opinion as thick, if not thicker than the rest, this enables them to soak up high impacts without splitting.

Rim Locks

Standard Rim Locks

Rim locks are essential on off road bikes which run their tyres at extremely low pressures. This is to stop tyre creep which will rip out the valve!

Standard rim locks often work well enough but can be bulky and prove awkward when changing tyres.

Alloy Die Cast Rim Locks

These rim locks are a high quality die cast alloy body with moulded rubber flap to protect against abrasion of inner tube. Ideal for applications that require low tyre pressures.
